Mikumi to Dar es Salaam: 295 kms : 6 Hr drive

After breakfast, meet and greet Maapeti Safari Professional Driver Guide at your preferred location in Dar es Salaam, with a warm smile and provide a brief safari briefing. Depart for your private safari with your personal guide, heading to Mikumi National Park, giving a chance to witness the changing landscapes of Tanzania as you travel from the city through rural areas. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route, either at a scenic spot or a designated rest area along the way. Upon arrival in Mikumi National Park, embark on first game drive. The park is home to an array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species. Guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing, including the Mkata River and open plains. Check-in at Camp Bastian for overnight on Full Board basis (Lunch & Dinner). Mikumi Game drive

After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. Your guide will take you to the park’s most game-rich areas, giving you the best opportunities to see wildlife in action. Expect to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, as well as predators like lions and possibly leopards. Enjoy the park’s rich biodiversity as you drive through its savannah, wetlands, and woodlands. Enjoy the lunch in the Park. Continue exploring the park throughout the afternoon. Mikumi is famous for its open landscapes, which provide excellent visibility for spotting wildlife such as giraffes, wildebeests, and various bird species, including eagles and hornbills. Your guide will ensure that you are able to observe the wildlife at a safe distance while explaining the animals’ behaviors and the park’s ecology.
